Vision now hosts a custom task to control and collect data from the Piezotest direct d33 meters: the PM100, PM200, and PM300. The Piezotest units use acoustic stimulation to acquire the direct d33 coefficient from bulk ceramic piezoelectric capacitors. The PM300 has an adjustable acoustic test frequency ranging from 30 Hz to 300 Hz. The PM300 will also collect capacitance and tan delta from the sample at 1 kHz.
Vision controls the Piezotest unit remotely via RS232 communications. The Piezotest Direct d33 task may be embedded in a test definition or a branch loop. Once Piezotest data are acquired, the full power of the Vision analysis tools may be applied for analysis of sample performance.
