Radiants Precision materials testers are designed unlike any other test instruments in the world. They can characterize the individual material properties of dielectric response, remanent polarization, piezoelectricity, pyroelectricity, and electrical leakage with no configuration change. More important is the fact that they can accurately determine the relationship between these characteristics in an integrated test environment. A virtual tester called Vision operates Radiants tester hardware. Vision can construct complex programs with any number of tests to characterize all aspects of the sample in one execution while keeping track of the measurement results and the history of the sample being tested. Each Radiant tester is an extension of the Vision virtual tester and can execute any of the measurement tasks in the Vision Library. The type of tester determines the range of voltages, frequencies, and sample sizes that Vision may characterize with that tester. Only with a Radiant Precision tester can the researcher produce the plot below, executed in one hour on a Precision LC. The data shows the relationship in a single sample between the remanent polarization state and the values of its small signal capacitance and leakage.
Our most sophisticated unit is capable of executing both thin film and bulk ceramic measurements over a wide envelope. The Precision Premier II tester executes a single pass hysteresis loop in 100µs with no interlacing of the data acquisition and a 10µs hysteresis loop with interlace. The Premier II uses a 40MHz clock through a down counter resulting in an effective maximum clock rate of 10MHz. The capture rate for the 18bit ADCs in the system is 2MHz. Premier II will execute a PUND pulse measurement with pulse widths ranging from 1µs up to 1s on capacitors with areas ranging from 0.5µ2 up to multiple square centimeters.
Designed for bench-top testing of ferroelectrics materials, this unit is perfect for a laboratory or university environment. The Precision LC covers a broad range of thin film and bulk ceramic characterization as fast as 2kHz. The Precision LC offers a Min Hysteresis Loop 10s, Min Pulse Width 50 seconds,Min Rise Time @ 5V 40 seconds, 5 kHz Internal Fatigue Frequency, 2.0 kHz Max Hysteresis Frequency.
Radiant's new RT66B test system replaces the famous RT66A. This test system is perfect for the researcher looking for a flexible unit at an affordable price. Upgrades include faster speed, Vision Software, and a USB interface, so it can operate under Windows. Features include (100 points in 5ms) down to 1/8th Hz (500 points in 8 seconds) hysteresis frequencies plus PUND pulse widths from 50 microseconds up to 100ms. It executes leakage and CV tests as well.
All our research systems come with our exclusive Vision data management software. Vision offers powerful tools for measuring ferroelectrics, piezoelectrics, pyroelectrics, polymers, and multiferroics. Vision offers an editor with which the user can link individual tasks to create complex custom test programs. During execution, Vision stores all of the test documentation and the measured results as records in database files set up and managed by Vision. The database files may be shared between test systems for cooperative research programs. Vision also has excellent plotting and analysis tools, allowing the researcher to plot and transfer the results directly into reports and presentations.
A unique teaching and training tool for laboratory environments. The EDU is a fully functional test instrument for non-linear electroceramics. The EDU measures the hysteresis loops of special packaged ferroelectrics capacitors Radiant created specifically for the tester. This unit is a complete education platform that comes with a syllabus, tutorials, packaged parts, and application notes. The EDU does not use Vision but instead uses a much simpler user interface suitable for students. |
